About Me
I’m Matt Jerome — an Apple device management specialist, writer, speaker, and active contributor to the Apple admin community.
I focus on managing Apple devices at scale — macOS, iOS, and iPadOS — with deep experience in MDM architecture, automation, API integrations, compliance, and operational strategy. Much of my writing centers around real-world Apple administration: what’s changing, what’s challenging, and how to build scalable, supportable solutions using tools like Jamf and the broader Apple ecosystem.
I regularly publish technical articles in the Jamf community, where I break down practical workflows, automation strategies, and lessons learned from large-scale Apple deployments. My goal is simple: help Apple admins move from reactive support to proactive engineering.
Community involvement is a core part of my work. I founded the San Francisco Apple Admins User Group to create space for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and mentorship among local Mac admins. I also serve as a mentor with the Mac Admins Foundation, supporting the next generation of Apple IT professionals.
Beyond writing and mentoring, I contribute free tools and scripts to the community through GitHub — focused on automation, Jamf workflows, and practical solutions to everyday admin challenges.
I’ve also shared insights on industry platforms including the LaunchPad by Rocketman Tech and Jamf After Dark, and I’ve spoken at the Jamf Nation User Conference, discussing Apple management, automation, and the evolving Apple admin landscape.
Whether through writing, speaking, mentoring, or building tools, my focus remains the same: helping organizations manage Apple devices more effectively — and helping the Apple admin community grow stronger together.
